Deep Learning Vision
Advances in deep learning, or artificial intelligence, in machine vision have meant that deep learning vision can be a cost effective solution to tricky vision problems. We work primarily with the powerful Cognex “Vidi” AI platform and have successfully delivered many deep learning vision projects to our customers.
While machine vision is a necessary component of a traceability solution, effective traceability requires part marking (or labelling), appropriate controls logic for sequencing & a database in which to store the information. End of line inspections
While in-process error proofing, quality, traceability & gauging inspections are a necessary part of an effective manufacturing strategy, final (or end of line) inspections are the opportunity to capture the characteristics of the product immediately prior to leaving the production line.
End of line inspection booths or stations can use both fixed mount & robot end of arm mounted cameras to effectively capture measurements, inspection criteria and traceability data for each product, creating a comprehensive record of final quality.
3D Inspections/Surface Inspections
High resolution surface scanning or gauging inspections can be difficult to implement. We’ve got some tools in our “tool kit” for these kinds of applications, including custom optics and lighting, deep learning algorithms and custom automation/fixtures for part motion & holding.
